These terms apply to Covelet and its website, provided by Chenglin Wu under the CoolMio brand. By using Covelet, you agree to these terms. If you cannot legally agree on your own, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf. Nothing here removes rights that applicable consumer law does not allow you to waive.
1. The app
Covelet is a personal space on iPhone for photos, videos, files, and notes, with a separate unlock method and customizable appearance. Library content is stored locally. Covelet does not provide app-level cloud backup or sync, an online content account, or a service that can recover a forgotten credential.
The free allowance covers 50 photos, videos, and files combined, including media in Recently Deleted. A Live Photo counts as one item. Notes, folders, thumbnails, and wallpapers do not count toward this allowance. Individual file-size and format limits, available device storage, and system permissions still apply.
2. Pro subscriptions and purchases
Plans and pricing
Covelet Pro removes the 50-item limit for photos, videos, and files stored locally. It does not add cloud storage or increase your iPhone's physical capacity. Pro is offered as an annual subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase. There is no subscription free trial.
The current US reference prices are US$19.99 per year for Annual and US$49.99 once for Lifetime. Prices and availability may vary by country or region. The localized price and terms shown in the app and Apple's purchase-confirmation screen govern your purchase; review them before confirming. Future price changes are handled through Apple's applicable notice and consent process.
Annual subscription
Annual Pro is an auto-renewable subscription for one year. Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase. It renews for another year unless canceled; cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid renewal processing. Apple may charge for renewal within the 24 hours before the next period begins.
Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Covelet. Cancellation stops a future renewal; access ordinarily continues until the paid period ends, subject to any refund or revocation. Deleting Covelet or erasing your local space does not cancel the subscription. See Apple's cancellation instructions and Apple Media Services terms.
Lifetime purchase
Lifetime is a non-consumable, one-time purchase that unlocks Pro's local item allowance without recurring charges. It has no scheduled subscription expiry. “Lifetime” describes this purchase type; it does not promise cloud storage, uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every future device or operating system, or perpetual maintenance of the app. Any changes remain subject to your purchase rights and mandatory consumer protections.
Buying Lifetime does not automatically cancel an existing annual subscription. If you move from Annual to Lifetime, manage the annual subscription in your Apple Account to prevent another renewal.
Restore and purchase issues
Use Restore purchases in Covelet's Settings or Pro page while signed in to the Apple Account used for the purchase. An internet connection and Apple's confirmation may be needed. Restoring verifies eligible Pro purchases; it does not restore your local photos, files, notes, or unlock method. An expired annual subscription does not become active simply because it is restored.
Refunds for App Store transactions are handled by Apple under its policies and applicable law. You can request a refund from Apple. Eligibility depends on the purchase and your country or region; a request is not a guarantee of approval. A refund or revoked purchase may remove Pro access.
When Pro ends
The end of Pro access does not itself delete your saved content. You can still unlock the space, view, organize, export, and delete existing items, and recover eligible media from Recently Deleted. If the combined item count is at or above 50, adding more photos, videos, or files requires active Pro or reducing the count below 50. Notes remain outside the allowance. Access still depends on the app, your device, readable local files, and your unlock method.
3. Acceptable use
Use Covelet only for lawful purposes and content you have the right to possess and use. Do not infringe others' rights, interfere with the app or its purchase services, falsify transactions, or bypass purchase restrictions. Do not reverse engineer or redistribute proprietary parts of the app except where applicable law permits it. These terms do not restrict rights granted by applicable open-source licenses.
4. Your content and responsibilities
Your content remains yours. These terms do not give us ownership of your photos, files, notes, or other materials, or a license to publish them. The app processes your library locally to perform the actions you request. Wish Well sends the suggestion you choose to submit to the developer for review, with an optional email address for a reply. Submitting a wish does not promise that we will implement it or respond. Information handled by external services is described in the Privacy Policy.
Keep your PIN, password, or pattern safe. If you previously enabled a still-valid Face ID channel for your space, a fresh successful Face ID check can authorize a credential reset. Your iPhone passcode cannot replace that check. If neither your credential nor valid Face ID access works, we cannot recover or decrypt the space for you.
Keep independent copies of irreplaceable content. A system backup may include encrypted Covelet data, but restoration depends on a complete, usable backup and the credential used when it was made. Covelet does not verify that a backup exists or can be restored. Uninstalling, erasing, device loss, damage, or an incomplete restore can lose access to content.
Export and deletion are available without Pro. Exported or shared copies leave Covelet's protection and are controlled by the destination you choose. Removing a space does not remove prior exports, system backups, or originals in other apps. Media in Recently Deleted has a 30-day recovery period; files and notes are deleted without that recovery period. Review deletion confirmations carefully.
5. Intellectual property and app license
Covelet's software, name, design, and original materials are owned by their respective rights holders. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app on devices you own or control as permitted by Apple's usage rules. You may not resell or redistribute the app without permission. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses. Apple is not a party to these terms, and support for Covelet is provided by us.
6. Third-party services
Apple provides the App Store, payment processing, and system features. RevenueCat provides purchase validation and entitlement management. Cloudflare hosts this website and operates the Wish Well submission, storage, and notification service. Google provides our developer notification and support inbox. Selected file providers and export destinations may also be involved when you choose them. Their services have their own terms and privacy policies. Availability of purchasing, restoring, submitting wishes, importing, or sharing can depend on those services and your connection.
7. Warranties and liability
We take reasonable care in developing Covelet, but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, free of errors, compatible with all files, or immune to unauthorized access or data loss. Covelet is not a substitute for a backup strategy or specialist security protection.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and website are provided as available, and we exclude implied warranties and liability for indirect or consequential losses. This does not exclude or limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or guarantee that the law does not permit us to exclude. Your statutory remedies, including rights relating to paid digital content, remain intact.
8. Ending use and changes to the app
You may stop using the app at any time. Export anything you need before removing it, and cancel any subscription separately through Apple. Your license may end for a material breach of these terms to the extent permitted by law; we do not operate a remote content service that deletes your local library.
We may update the app or website as features, platforms, or legal requirements change. We will provide notices and remedies required by applicable law for material changes affecting a paid service. These terms do not authorize taking away mandatory consumer rights or treating an advertised paid entitlement as fulfilled when it has not been provided.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, except to the extent that mandatory law in your place of residence applies. You retain any non-waivable consumer rights and the right to bring a claim in a court available to you under applicable law. These terms do not require arbitration or waive class-action rights.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will publish the revised date here. We will provide additional notice and obtain consent when required for a material change. Revised terms apply prospectively and do not remove rights you already have under mandatory law.
